UX & UI

Project Overview
Client: SpiraDreams
Industry: Social
Timeline: 2019 (3 months)
My Role: UX&UI Designer
Nlace is an app where you can meet and connect with people who share your same interests and hobbies, as well as your same outlook on life.
In Nlace, every new user must choose which of the 4 groups they want to belong to. Each group is comprised of individuals with unique characteristics and interests:
Ineffables, Conspirators, Artisans, and Unpredictables.
Problem
In this case, there wasn't a specific problem to solve, but rather a need. An app was requested to connect with people who share our same interests but also have similar personalities or characters. This way, more consistent and closely-knit communities are created. The STAKEHOLDERS ask me to build.
At that time, the apps we encountered allowed us to connect with other people with similar interests, but without knowing if they were similar in terms of character.
Objectives
In this project, the main objectives were:
Ensure that the user feels comfortable and truly connects with people.
Ease of communication between interest groups and common rooms.
Establish solid communities.
Information Architecture
One of the phases we considered in the process was to create a navigation tree to define the navigation levels and understand the magnitude of the project. We detailed all the functionalities that each screen could have to determine the number of levels we could potentially have.

Wireframing
Our journey from low-fidelity wireframes to the final prototype was a systematic approach to creating an intuitive and easy-to-use product. This allowed us to develop basic outlines to outline the core structure and design of our product, prioritizing functionality and a realistic user experience.

Learnings
This project was the first one I carried out outside of an academic environment and marked my beginning as a UX/UI designer, and as the sole designer. It lasted for three months, so we couldn't delve deeply into some aspects. It was a project for an start up, so we have to work with a low cuote and the minimum recources. It was so challenging for me because I took place all over the process from the idea, brand identity and the app design.
